Dovedale is situated in a scenic part of Derbyshire on the southern edge of the Peak District National Park. There are several sheepdog trials held annually.

English National Sheepdog Trials 1967    

The Dovedale Sheepdog Society last put on the English National in 1967 when it was won by Miles Cook from Whitby with Maid. Below is a copy of the programme.
